Iain Court – Biography

Iain Court – Co-Director and tutor (production and songwriting)

Iain runs his own music and media company Imc Music, www.imcmusic.co.uk. He has been involved in the music industry for many years as a performer, singer/songwriter and freelance music producer and sound engineer.

He has spent a number of years gigging in an array of different bands up and down the country, performing for big corporate events, cabaret evenings and in hotels. Performing a variety of shows, he decided to tour Spain and was there performing for 7 years.

Since setting up IMC Music Iain has been involved with lots of different projects and worked with many different artists. Engineering and producing albums over a number of years, Iain has a vast amount of knowledge of what works and what doesn’t, the best way to run a session, getting the best out of the recording/band, what microphones to use, achieving that great sound and so on…..He is trained in many areas of software and teaches music technology for students at  A level and GCSE as well as on a one to one basis.

He has run lots of workshops for schools and colleges and has given many lectures on the music industry at music events.

Iain is very excited about teaching for Music Works and passing on his knowledge and enthusiasm to everyone taking part.
