Happy New Year!
A very happy new year to all of our customers and friends. We’re looking forward to bringing you a great mix of 1-1s, workshops and courses to inspire and encourage your music making and music career in 2012.
2011 proved to be an exceptionally busy year for the Music Works team. Fiona supporting the development of SoundExchange, the music development agency for Essex, including designing and delivering the State of Play conference. Andy and Iain both launching new performance projects which are set to fly in 2012 and spending time developing studio projects.
During 2011 we all spent valuable time talking to industry colleagues and listening to our customers to determine where the real knowledge gaps are and developing a rock-solid programme for the education sector and private clients which we’re looking forward to sharing with you in the coming months. In other developments the team has been busy exploring consolidating its other commitments to create a new project Ngenius Music to focus on publishing and recording. With Music Works providing just the right platform for sharing our industry knowledge we’re more confident than ever that our programme will be both useful and highly relevant.
Onto coaching and for 2012 we’ve opened-up some more 1-1 slots in contemporary vocals (Andy) and piano/keyboard (Iain) – call for more information and availability.
Finally in November we were delighted to welcome a new member of staff to the team, Jordana Golbourn, who provides awesome administrative support to the Ngenius/Music Works team.
To close with an opening thought for the first week of the new year: “Even the longest journey starts with a single step.” (attributed to Lao Tzu). As you progress into the new year on your musical journey, what will yours be?
Wishing you all a peaceful, healthy and musical 2012!
